Initial Review: Strict Gate Chastity Device

i have received my Strict Gate chastity device in the mail today (www.strictgate.com).  Upon opening the box, similarities between the Strict Gate chastity device and the Birdlocked chastity device packaging are immediately apparent.  Both devices come with a similar case.  The similarities with the Birdlocked chastity device do not stop there, however.

i've always liked my Birdlocked Mini - the comfort of the silicone cage has been unrivaled.  And the Strict Gate features the same cage as that Birdlocked Mini.  What i have not been particularly fond of in the Birdlocked Mini is the ring, and the modified hose clamp used to hold everything tight.  I find that one or both testicles can retract too easily through the ring, even while locked. 

When it comes to ring shapes and perceived security, i've always liked the Holy Trainer chastity device rings.  They fit comfortably and are contoured nicely.  Strict Gate has taken the Holy Trainer ring (and lock assembly) and mounted the Birdlocked Mini cage to the Holy Trainer ring.  The soft silicone cage includes the tab of the Holy Trainer cage that extends back underneath the ring.  The soft tab, however, is more comfortable that the rigid tab of the Holy Trainer.  This promises to be a very comfortable combination.  Time (and only the test of time) will tell.

Speaking of promises, the Strict Gate chastity device includes a pledge ring but the pledge ring can be exchanged for different alternative rings: a tiny pico ring, a glow in the dark lumino ring, and an enforcing stricto ring (reminiscent of the points of intrigue teeth that could be inserted into a CB6000).  Some day down the line, if i like the Strict Gate device enough, i might consider trying the variety of pledge rings.  For now, i'll give this a try and see how it goes with an extended trial period.

Interesting Tid-Bit For Those Considering Chastity

What style of jeans do you wear? Seriously. What style?

You might contemplate the effect of your sense of style on your chastity device. Let me explain. First, keep in mind that i normally wear suits, dress pants, or yoga clothing (think, loose fitting in the crotch-area, home of the aforementioned chastity device). Accordingly, the issue i am about to discuss rarely makes itself known.

Today, as i was dressing for a family outing (not that kind of outing - rather, a brief, enjoyable excursion), i put on a pair of True Religion jeans, the Bobby basic black style. It was then that i noticed the pressure applied to the chastity device. This pressure translates through the chastity device and to the body parts underneath the chastity device.  Due to the slight discomfort, i went through all of my jeans until i found the least uncomfortable pair to wear: my Gap Relaxed fit jeans.

Now, the chastity device truly gets the brunt of the pressure with unforgiving or unyielding clothing, such as jeans.  The downward force or rearward force applied to the cage portion of the chastity device translates back to the ring.  In the case of the Birdlocked Mini, which i am wearing at the moment, there is some stretch allowed in the connection.  On the other hand, the CB6000s, which i also wear from time to time, the connection between the cage and the ring is not so flexible.  In fact, i am willing to bet that the ring breakage experienced by so many is due in no small part to the types of clothing being worn over the locked package.

What should the chaste male wear, then?  For example, boxers or briefs?  If we are talking about treating the chastity device nicely, i would say boxers.  If we are talking about making the chaste male uncomfortable, i would say panties...er, briefs.  You see, when i wore briefs over the CB6000s, i noticed that i would develop bruising or pressure sores in the region where the ring contacted the area surrounding the body.  This is likely due to the pressure applied by the clothing choice.  Thus, to be gentle to yourself and to be gentle to your chastity device, wear boxers (or loose fitting panties, briefs, etc.) and suits or other clothing with room.  For some, skirts would be best.  ;-)

Will It Happen?

Short update on O/our current situation.  It is Saturday, March 31 at 8:07 am. Shortly, i will be tending to the lawn and other chores around the house before getting some work projects completed for the office.

W/we recently returned from an extended trip to celebrate our anniversary.  It was a long-needed time away to reconnect without the office, the kids or other commitments getting between us.  W/we reconnected and it was beautiful.

Last night, She left on a weekend trip.  She sent some photos through to stir some excitement.  After an afternoon of teasing, She sent through a text telling me to "be good."  This was meant to say that i should not take things into my own hands during Her absence.  i viewed this as an invitation (and quite an opportunity).

For those who have not followed my posts, i have been dabbling in self-inflicted locking for a while now.  Let's just say, i'm interested.  She finds it a bit beyond Her more vanilla tastes - She thinks the Birdlocked and the CB6000s are a bit freaky.  Nevertheless, i gave Her a CB6000s for Christmas.  She put it in my underwear drawer and hasn't mentioned it since.

After Her comment last night, i put the CB6000s on and sent Her a picture, which started the following back and forth:

m: Actually not too uncomfortable.

m: i bought it for U to use on me.

H: Can u still get aroused with that on?

m: U could now.  That made me swell up and completely fill the thing.

H: Does it hurt to get aroused

m: Licking the tip would be utterly frustrating...sounds delicious.  Hurt is not the right word. Arousal simply fills all the space and gives a small squeeze. i imagine being teased in it would drive me insane.

Tomorrow is a long way away but i hope She keeps showing interest...at least i think i do.

Erectile Function

For years, I've had free reign over my lower regions and I was able to handle things myself whenever I felt like it. Often, something would trigger me and I would be overcome with a desire to "rub one out." Once triggered, I'd take care of the urge as soon as possible - sometimes I'd take care of the urge multiple times a day.

After marrying my Wife, the urges did not subside. I was pleasuring my wife and pleasuring myself...often. Eventually age and the repetition began to get to me. I was unable to perform in the morning and, more recently, I was unable to perform during some evenings. My Wife began to think I wasn't attracted to her - and it is hard to convince someone that you are attracted to them when one typically uncontrollable portion of your body is not responding as it should.

I started researching causes of erectile dysfunction and other performance issues. I stumbled onto the CBX000 lines of chastity devices and some postings by men that the CBX000 lines were helping them address their own dysfunction. Of course, when I started to study chastity devices, I learned of a number of other very lovely (for my Wife) consequences to locking husbands/boyfriends up in such devices.

I just HAD to have one. Eventually, I found a brick and mortar store that had the CB6000. It took some seeking and I even called the manufacturer to finally find a store that I could visit.

I've been self-locking for about two months now. My Wife is very vanilla and, the last time I tried to get her into something outside of the box (a vibrating cockring), it failed miserably. So I've been locking up Monday through Friday from the time I leave for work until I get home at the end of the day. Basically, I lock myself up and leave the keys in the car.

On average, I am locked up for about 12-14 hours a day - during the times when I would have the privacy and time needed to handle things myself. The rest of the time, I am with my wife or kids and I don't really have the time or the privacy to take things into my own hands.

This morning, for the first time in probably 8 years, my body worked as it should in the morning. I attribute this change to the wearing of the CB6000. The CB6000 is the only chastity device I have tried but I am willing to bet that other chastity devices also can work to help cure erectile dysfunction. As for me, I am a believer.

My wife, with a gleam in her eye, looked at me this morning and said "I thought it didn't work in the morning?" Her smile was priceless, as was the emotion that I felt at that exact moment.
